It’s my last week at London College of Fashion! I cannot believe it has been 5 weeks since I first got here. It’s going to be very bittersweet saying goodbye to all of the amazing people I’ve met. This has been one of the best experiences of my life!
This week we had our last photoshoot, and it turned out so cool. Half of the group was given the “military” theme and the other half was given the “80’s” theme. My partner and I were given the 80’s, which I was extremely excited about. We decided to go with Madonna as our main inspiration. Madonna for me is what the 80’s were all about. We used her “Borderline” video for inspiration as well. The process of getting to the final shoot was extremely stressful. We were in charge of getting all of our clothing, which, even in London, was hard to do, and we only had a week to do it. Luckily, we found everything we needed in Topshop.
At the shoot, it was like a mad house. There is so much going on. We 6 different groups with 3 different outfits each, and we only had from 9:30 to 4:30. That may sound like a long time, but it’s not. At all. So, by the time it was our turn, it was about 4 o’clock. 30 minutes and 3 outfits. Nice. We ended up finishing around 5:30, and it turned out AMAZING.
Being in London has been one of the most incredible/stressful times of my life. But I would do it all over again and again, because the stress gave me so much adrenaline that I worked harder than I ever have before.
If you have a dream to study abroad and do something amazing… DO IT. Before I came, I was so scared. More scared than I have ever been. But looking back now, I laugh at that scared girl because there is no reason to be scared of chasing your dreams!
